Gardaí in Clare are investigating after a seven-car collision occurred on the M18 on Tuesday evening.
The incident occurred in the Newmarket on Fergus area of Co. Clare at approximately 6pm on Tuesday September 9.
Gardaí attended the incident, along with units from units from Ennis and Shannon Fire Brigade attended the scene of the accident. Traffic diversions were subsequently put in place.
Despite the volume of cars involved in the incident, no injuries have been reported, and the motorway has since reopened.
Gardaí in Clare say that investigations into the incident are ongoing.
