Xiaomi is about to launch a new affordable gaming phone, the Redmi K90 Ultra. It’s confirmed to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite, a last-gen flagship SoC, which is expected to keep the price low compared to the current flagships.

The company has also showcased the design and shared some key specs of the gaming phone. Now, Xiaomi has confirmed the battery and display details. As expected, they match what the Redmi K90 Max comes with.

Specifically, the Redmi K90 Ultra is confirmed to sport an AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness rating of 3,500 nits. Xiaomi didn’t share the screen size, but it’s expected to be a 6.83-inch panel.

Moving to the battery, Xiaomi shares that it will feature an 8,550mAh capacity, which is the same as the battery of the Redmi K90 Max. It’s confirmed to support 100W fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging (160W Ugreen Nexode Pro curr. $49.99 on Amazon). The phone supports bypass charging as well, which is a very handy feature for gaming.

Previously, Xiaomi confirmed that the Snapdragon 8 Elite will be paired with the D2 chipset to ensure enhanced gaming performance. The Redmi K90 Ultra will also come with a Sound by Bose speaker setup, Surge T1 network enhancement chipset, and 3,500Hz touch sampling rate. Other specs could get confirmed in the coming days.
