Singing sensation Michael Bublé performed at a secret gig to a handful of unsuspecting punters in a boozer in the capital.
Revellers at the Ruby Sessions in Doyle’s pub on College Street on Friday were left amazed when the Canadian superstar made an appearance before he sang some of his greatest hits, including several covers.
The Holly Jolly Christmas crooner was in Ireland ahead of gigs in Dublin and Limerick this weekend.
Fans heard renditions of his hits along with covers of Olly Murs’ Dance With Me Tonight and Heart Skips a Beat. He also performed Moondance by Van Morrison.
Punters also got to hear songs from Bublé’s fourth album, which features country tracks.
Taking the stage, the 50-year-old quipped: “I can’t believe I’m here either . . . I was hoping for Lewis Capaldi.”

Punters usually book tickets to the gig and don’t know who is performing until they appear on stage. Ed Sheeran previously performed a two-hour set, Mumford & Sons, Lewis Capaldi and Hozier have all performed in the past.
Sharing a clip of the gig on TikTok, Bublé wrote: “Half the time I’m just as surprised as everyone else where I end up. This time, I’m pretty happy it was The Ruby Sessions.”
One punter, who attended the gig, took to social media to express her shock. She wrote: “When I left the house this morning I wasn’t expecting to end up seeing Michael Bublé perform his entire unreleased album to 50 people in Doyle’s in Dublin but HERE WE ARE.
“I might recover from this next year.”
