Superstar DJ producer Calvin Harris will play two huge open-air summer shows in Dublin this weekend
A strict age warning has been issued to Irish concertgoers ahead of Calvin Harris‘ two huge Dublin shows this weekend.
The chart-topping DJ is set to perform at Dublin’s Marlay Park on Saturday, June 27, and Malahide Castle on Sunday, June 28.
However, tickets clearly state that the events are strictly limited to those aged 17 and over.
While being accompanied by an adult typically allows those aged 16 or younger to attend MCD shows, those rules will not apply to the Calvin Harris gigs.
Concert promoters MCD have warned that rigorous age checks will be in operation, with attendees required to present identification upon arrival, reports Dublin Live.
The acceptable forms of identification for this event are a valid driving licence, a valid passport, and a Garda age ID card. Concertgoers have been warned to bring original ID only and that no photocopies will be accepted.
The promotors insist that without identification you will be turned away at the venue.

Those attending the gig with a child who is under 17 years old have been urged to immediately avail of the Ticketmaster Resale Platform.
MCD warned: “All Ticketholders must be 17 years or older to attend this event. Children aged 16 and under are not permitted to attend the event, even when accompanied by an adult.
“Strict age monitoring will be in place and attendees will be asked for identification on arrival. It is not acceptable to turn up to the event with children aged 16 and under, and anyone who is of this age will be refused entry without a refund.
“If you or your child is under 17 years old you should immediately avail of the Ticketmaster Resale Platform.”
