THREE RIVERS, Ore. — Some of the wooden deer that have been popping up in a Three Rivers-area roundabout appear to have been poached over the weekend.
The pine round deer started showing up last week in the South Century Drive and Huntington Road roundabout — and the herd grew steadily.
There were six deer on Friday, and someone went the added route of adding Googly eyes to them — similar to the Bend roundabout prank that went viral in 2024.
At some point, someone added pink flamingo.
But by Monday, there were only four deer there and the googly eyes had been removed.
It’s still not clear who is responsible for putting the deer there in the first place.
