It really did seem like if you even made eye contact with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce within the past year, you were invited to the wedding, but a few people had to miss the big day.

Ryan Seacrest had to miss out due to a work commitment.

“I RSVP’d to go, and then Disney hired me to do the Fourth of July 250 special on the 3rd and the 4th, and so I had to cancel,” he revealed on Monday’s “On Air with Ryan Seacrest.”

His cohosts, Tanya Rad and Sisanie Villaclara were shocked, with Rad joking “Waste of an invite!”

“It wasn’t a waste,” Seacrest countered. “I was actually really excited. I was kind of torn. I went through the minutes, I couldn’t have done both. And the actual wedding was in the afternoon. I went through the minutes! But I was so honored and thrilled to be invited.”

He even bumped into the couple while out at dinner, where they discussed “the event” (to maintain secrecy) but he ended up having to cancel for the work gig.

Robert Pattinson had to decline the invitation for similar reasons, though his fiancée, Suki Waterhouse, was one of the guests.

Pattinson had to be in London for two jobs, promoting his upcoming film, “The Odyssey,” and filming for “The Batman: Part II.”

The actor was told by Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier on “The Odyssey” red carpet that prizes had been given out to guests who won raffle tickets, to which Pattinson quipped, “They were giving away lots of stuff? What did I get?”

He reportedly missed out on a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle, designer handbags, and Cartier watches.

Singer-songwriter James Taylor, who happens to be Swift’s namesake, was also booked and busy and had to miss out on the wedding.

Taylor has maintained a five-year tradition of performing during Independence Day in Lenox, Mass., with his all-star band, and told the crowd he didn’t want to cancel.

“You know, Kim and I were invited to a wedding at Madison Square Garden tonight,” he told the audience, referring to his wife, Caroline “Kim” Smedvig, per Entertainment Weekly.

“I do want to wish the couple all happiness and smooth sailing and strength when it can’t be smooth,” he added.

Another notable absence was Margaret Qualley, who had to miss for work reasons as well, per Us Weekly. Qualley is married to Swift’s long-time producer, Jack Antonoff, and the singer attended their nuptials a couple years ago.
