“18. That’s a # buddy. Enjoy and handle your new freedoms,” the Oscar winner wrote in his caption.

He and his wife, Camila Alves, share three kids: Levi, Vida, and Livingston, who are all in their teens.

Back in March, Alves made a rare appearance with her 16-year-old daughter, and clearly, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. She and Vida stepped out for Time‘s Women of the Year Gala in Los Angeles.

The mother-daughter duo twinned in blazer dresses, with Alves selecting a maxi double-breasted number in a shade of creamy white. Vida, meanwhile, opted for a shorter hemline, pairing her buttoned little black dress with sheer tights and platform heels.

They both wore their hip-length locks in natural curls, which only added to their resemblance.

The last time all five of them appeared together was in 2025, when they attended the Mack, Jack & McConaughey Gala. The annual fundraising event, held in the family’s native Austin, Texas, benefits organizations that support children’s empowerment.

In January, McConaughey opened up about his nearly 14-year marriage to Alves. Like any other couple, the Dallas Buyers Club star said, their relationship takes “maintenance.”

Speaking with host Jay Shetty on his podcast “On Purpose,” McConaughey explained why it’s “humanly impractical” for a couple to be in the honeymoon phase forever.

“Honeymoon’s only in the perfection stage. It’s only up in the air,” he said. “You vow to love each other in say, a marriage for instance—and it’s through sickness and health until death,” he added. “My love’s not in question; that doesn’t mean it doesn’t take maintenance.”
