Hiplok designs the world’s first anti-angle grinder security link
Hiplok introduces L1000, the world’s first anti-angle grinder security link, designed to extend the reach of Hiplok’s anti-angle grinder D locks without the bulk of a conventional chain. The compact link stores inside the D lock itself, creating a compact modular security system.
The project began with a simple design challenge: how could the versatility of a chain be combined with the anti-angle grinder resistance of a D lock? Hiplok designed a compact link that works alongside its anti-angle grinder D locks, extending locking reach while maintaining a high level of attack resistance. The system allows riders to secure motorcycles to fixed objects or lock multiple bikes together. L1000 is compatible with Hiplok’s D1000, DX1000, and new DXL1000 anti-angle grinder D locks.

Hiplok introduces A High-Performance System in a Compact Form
A key part of the design process was ensuring the additional reach did not come at the expense of portability. L1000 has been engineered to fit neatly inside the DX1000 and DXL1000 for transport and storage, allowing riders to carry the complete system as a single, compact package. Manufactured from hardened steel and incorporating Hiplok’s proprietary graphene-composite material, L1000 delivers the same anti-angle grinder resistance as Hiplok’s 1000 Series D locks. Its clean geometric form reflects its functional purpose. Alongside L1000, Hiplok introduced DXL1000, an anti-angle grinder D lock with the longest internal locking length on the market. Together, the products reflect Hiplok’s approach to product design, combining material innovation with practical, everyday usability to solve real-world security challenges. Hiplok is the only brand to offer a complete anti-angle grinder security system.
