Sand sculptors from around the world are competing in Massachusetts this weekend in the annual Revere Beach International Sand Sculpting Festival.From Friday through Sunday, the sculptures and surrounding entertainment are expected to draw hundreds of thousands of people to the beach. More than a dozen food vendors are available and fireworks are scheduled for 9 p.m. on Saturday. The party started Thursday night with a welcome event at the new Kowloon Tiki Bar.Voting takes place on Saturday with an awards ceremony at 6 p.m. If you plan on attending, expect increased traffic in the area. Organizers recommend riding the MBTA to the Revere Beach or Wonderland T stops.
