In India, we can expect the action thriller to arrive on JioHotstar, which is where you can watch (or rewatch) the first season. While the first two episodes will be out on release day, it will be followed by two episodic drops every Wednesday for a total of eight episodes. What is the story of A Shop for Killers 2?

Based on Kang Ji Young’s popular novel The Killer’s Shopping List, the first season of A Shop for Killers followed Jeong Jian (Kim Hye Joon), who moved in with her mysterious uncle Jeong Jinman (Lee Dong Wook) after her parents’ demise. Jinman, who runs the shopping mall Murthehelp, suddenly dies, and Jian inherits her uncle’s hidden, dangerous legacy. In turn, she becomes the target of suspicious killers. In A Shop for Killers Season 2, Jian becomes Murthehelp’s new CEO. Jian joins forces with Jinman, who returns alive, to launch a full-scale counterattack against the global forces of Babylon.

On reprising his role in A Shop for Killers Season 2, Lee Dong Wook shared, “It is an honour to return for Season 2, and I am happy to once again show Jeong Jinman. Jinman is a character who does not experience large emotional fluctuations, and he does not show them outwardly, but in this season you will be able to see moments where he reveals his emotions,” according to Soompi. Teasing the intense overdrive of the action scenes in the latest instalment, the Hallyu star added, “The action has become more spectacular. I prepared with the mindset of not disappointing expectations.”

Action director Jeon Jae Hyung also praised Lee Dong Wook while commenting on the upgraded action: “He is already a fully formed actor when it comes to action. In Season 2, action unfolds in new settings that have not been shown before. We did extensive training to ensure that everything, including dark venue action scenes and wire work sequences, could be performed without a stunt double.”
