Not because a stylist told him to or because he was chasing the next big thing, but because he was genuinely obsessed with really cool clothes.
Williams’s daughter Zelda once confirmed as much. Responding to fans on X (back when it was called Twitter), she revealed that her father knew “everyone” at Bape and was always discovering new Japanese and skate brands. She also recalled that her dad casually “wore things that [she has] never seen another person dare wear,” a trait that she “always respected”.
