Fresh off “The Odyssey” press run, Zendaya took a page from Audrey Hepburn’s legendary beauty, unveiling roughly cut micro bangs at a fan event for “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” in Mexico City on Monday.
The Emmy-nominated actress paired the choppy fringe with a bouffant bun that was halfway between Pamela Anderson’s trademark messy updo and Hepburn’s folded top wave in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.”

It was Zendaya’s makeup, crafted by Ernesto Casillas, that pushed her aesthetic over the line into Hepburn territory. Comprised of a thick statement wing, fluttery lashes, full brows, bubblegum-blushed cheeks and a subtle rosy lip, the glam brought a delicate edge to her Gothic fashion, which consisted of a jet-black, half satin-half frayed Ashi Studio gown with extra-long fringe flowing from the trim of the sleeve cuffs.

Though the “Euphoria” star collaborated with celebrity hair artist Coree Moreno for the duration of “The Odyssey” press tour, Ursula Stephen was the architect behind her Hepburn bun. That said, Moreno, whose star-studded client list including breakout actress Chase Infiniti and “Outerbanks” lead Madison Bailey, has developed a reputation as a boundary-breaking image-maker when it comes to Zendaya. He certainly pushed the limits, defying all red carpet standards, with the former Disney Channel star throughout the last few weeks, crafting a catalogue of goddess-inspired hairdos to celebrate her role as Athena.

Speaking with WWD after “The Odyssey” premiere in New York, where Zendaya was photographed sporting a slept-in braid, Moreno said: “For a long time, red carpet hair has been associated with perfection — every strand in place, every curl untouched. Audiences 1784664678 are gravitating toward something more human. This look celebrates texture, softness and individuality. It isn’t about looking overstyled; it’s about creating hair that feels alive.”

The inspiration for the unruly look was born out of Moreno’s personal belief that elegance doesn’t have to be rigid; it can be lived-in. He said: “Every stop on the press tour has told a different chapter of the story, and this look felt like the most romantic. Instead of relying on precision or glamour, we embraced imperfection. The texture is intentionally lived-in, the silhouette is softer and the finish feels almost weightless. It’s a look that invites movement and emotion, which made it feel especially fitting for this premiere.”
