Fans of the sleeper hit TV show Rivals who wondered what life would be like inside electronics businessman Freddie Jones’s lavish mansion—minus the affairs, feuds, and corporate drama—now have the chance to find out.

The imposing residence, known on screen as Bella Vista in the Disney+ adaptation of Jilly Cooper’s bestselling novel, has just hit the market. In reality, the three-story home presides over 24 acres of land and is called Foxfield. And rather than being in the fictional county of Rutshire, it’s just outside the historic village of Lisvane, one of Cardiff’s most affluent suburbs.

The house, built in 1999, has become one of the show’s most recognizable filming locations, thanks to its expansive grounds and grand interiors. Rivals—set amid the excess of 1980s England—revolves around power struggles between wealthy, larger-than-life personalities who live on sprawling country estates. The series has struck a chord with audiences on both sides of the Atlantic and was recently renewed for a third season ahead of the release of the second half of season two this November.

Beyond its television credentials, Foxfield has been in the same family for more than 25 years, with formal gardens giving way to orchards, woodland, and ponds, creating a pastoral retreat just 20 minutes from the acclaimed restaurants of the Pontcanna neighborhood.

Multiple reception rooms include a formal dining room with seating for 16 guests, while two studies are for more intimate gatherings and the Smallbone kitchen, equipped with Miele appliances, opens to a morning room with French doors to the gardens. Seven en suite bedrooms are spread across the second and third floors. Elsewhere are an orangery, a wine cellar with its own tasting area, and a top-floor games room with a bar, lounge, and powder room.

Standout features include a handcrafted American white oak staircase that winds through all three levels, its form inspired by a rugby ball—a nod to Wales‘s national sport—and the primary suite, where dual dressing rooms include one inspired by Ralph Lauren‘s Bond Street flagship. A subterranean garage, a gym, and a tennis court round out the estate’s amenities. Foxfield is now on the market with Fine & Country for 8 million pounds (about $10.8 million), making it one of the most expensive homes currently for sale in Wales.
