SEWARD COUNTY, Neb. (KOLN) – Residents in Seward County are encouraged to report any mountain lion sightings after one was reported Monday morning.
The Seward County Sheriff’s Office said it was notified of a possible sighting four miles north of Staplehurst. It is unknown which direction the animal traveled.
The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission has been notified, but the agency has not yet confirmed the animal’s presence, the sheriff’s office said.
Anyone who spots the mountain lion should not approach the animal. Instead, contact the sheriff’s office or the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission with an updated location.
