Queen Letizia of Spain continued her summer style streak as she presided over the closing ceremony of the Atlàntida Mallorca Film Festival last night. She looked glamorous in a red asymmetrical dress by Carolina Herrera, accessorizing with Gucci sandals and Palma Oro earrings by Isabel Guarch. Letizia also carried a metallic gold clutch from Begum Khan.

While the Carolina Herrera dress is almost sold out online, Queen Letizia’s Gucci block heel slides are still available.
At the Mallorca Film Festival, Queen Letizia met Javier Bardem and Victoria Luengo, among other Spanish stars. She also presented the “Master of Cinema” award to French composer and director Alexandre Desplat. Following the awards ceremony, the Spanish premiere of El Ser Querido (known in English as The Beloved) screened; Bardem and Luengo star in the film, which premiered at Cannes earlier this year.

The Spanish royal family spends their annual summer holiday in Palma de Mallorca, staying at the Palace of Marivent. Tomorrow, they will hold their traditional summer reception held in the Marivent gardens.
Last week, former King Juan Carlos made a secret visit to the island to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Though he did not stay at the Palace, he visited his wife Queen Sofía and their daughters at Marivent Palace, the Royal Household confirmed. King Felipe, Queen Letizia, and their daughters Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía were not on Mallorca at the time; while King Felipe had been on the island, he left in the wake of the wildfires in Spain.

Last week, the King and Queen visited communities displaced by wildfires. “Some have had a very bad time, some have been away from their homes for four days now, some have lost many possessions. Collectively, we have lost an incalculable amount of natural heritage,” King Felipe told reporters.
