Chandler School’s Lower School and Middle School visual arts programs foster confidence, creativity, and artistic expression while helping students develop strong technical skills and an appreciation for the arts. Serving students in grades K–8, the program introduces a broad range of media and techniques, including drawing, painting, digital art, printmaking, design, photography, mixed media, sculpture, and ceramics.

The program is led by two highly experienced, full-time art teachers who work with students in spacious studios equipped with two kilns, printing presses, and abundant materials. Chandler also maintains a chapter of the National Junior Art Honor Society.

Artistic Connections
Chandler enriches students’ artistic experiences by inviting professional artists to campus for discussions and hands-on workshops. The school also hosts an annual Family Gallery Visit, offering families the opportunity to explore art in the Pasadena area together.

Each spring, Chandler celebrates student creativity through ArtWorks, a multi-day showcase featuring an evening reception and a wide variety of exhibits displaying artwork created by every Chandler student.
