A GAA club have appealed for prayers for a ‘highly respected young man’ who is seriously ill in hospital.

The Toomebridge and Duneane parish communities have come together to offer support and prayers for Kyle Johnston, who is in Intensive Care.

Johnston is a well-known member of the Erin’s Own GAC, Cargin club and they have asked for support for a ‘familiar face’.

“A familiar face around the club and Toome, and a young man that carries immense respect from all around the parish, give him your positive energy and prayers to get through this challenge.”

The Parish of Duneane are planning a prayer vigil for Johnston on Friday night.

“We are gathering as a parish tomorrow evening Friday 7th July from 9pm to 10pm in Saint Oliver Plunkett Church Toome, to offer a holy hour for him, that the Lord would bring healing and consolation to his family. If you’ve never prayed in your life or a regular mass goer ALL ARE WELCOME. please share.”
