Baltimore Met Gala honors Nancy Blackwell, Demont ‘Peekaso’ Pinder for shaping city art

The Baltimore Met Gala is celebrating more than just fashion, it’s also putting the city’s art and culture center stage.

This year, two people helping shape that creative community are being honored.

Appearing Tuesday on WBAL-TV 11 News included Nancy Blackwell, the owner of Quid Nunc Art Gallery and this year’s art icon honoree and curator of the 2026 “Statement” art experience, and artist Demont “Peekaso” Pinder, this year’s impact culture honoree.
