The Star Wars universe is full of dazzling and distinctive watering holes, space-tastic social spots, and merry meet-up points that cater to all sorts of travelers, adventurers, and memorable characters seeking sustenance and spirited socializing.

Now an elegant new outpost, one that “… draws inspiration from the welcoming spirit of George Lucas’ legendary Skywalker Ranch,” will debut at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art when the highly anticipated cultural institution opens on Sept. 22.

Serving “classic American fare,” Skywalker Grill will sit “atop” the Exposition Park museum, which means diners will enjoy scenic sweeps of Los Angeles, views can be savored as diners sup upon Lobster Corn Dogs and the Skywalker Ranch Wagyu Burger.

Pastas will also grace the menu, along with starters made for sharing and salads, too.

Reservations are now open, and bookings can be made through Resy.

The restaurant will remain open even after the museum closes for the day, making it a nighttime hub for celebratory dining or meeting a friend for a drink.

“Skywalker Grill is a natural complement to the Lucas Museum experience, offering an inviting space for guests to connect over great food and conversation before or after visiting our galleries,” said Tracey Bates, CEO of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art.

“We are equally excited for it to serve as a destination for Angelenos from across the city to enjoy exceptional hospitality and beautiful surroundings.”

Design in the Lucas universe has always leaned fantastical, with locations lavishly setting the stage for plot twists, high drama, and delightful developments.

The theme of Skywalker Grill, a space conceived by the Rockwell Group, is a modern throwback to midcentury moxie, with cherry wood adding a cozy cool and organic curves, while a “sculptural bar” will serve as a focal point at the heart of the restaurant.

Peruse the menu here, and book early if you hope to visit Skywalker Grill when it opens or in the months immediately to follow.
