ShopeePay users in Singapore can now use the e-wallet to pay for apps, games and other digital content on Google Play.
Android users can link ShopeePay to Google Play and pay with their wallet balance, SPayLater or linked credit and debit cards.
The integration also extends to subscription payments on Google Play.
The Google Play integration covers eligible purchases and subscriptions for apps such as ChatGPT, Spotify, Canva, Tinder, LinkedIn, Duolingo and Gemini.
“Digital services are deeply embedded in Singaporeans’ daily lives, whether for entertainment, productivity, or everyday utility. As spending on digital platforms becomes more common, consumers increasingly expect the payment methods they use to be available wherever they choose to spend.
Through our partnership with Google Play, we’re giving users more choice and flexibility at checkout by bringing ShopeePay’s range of payment options to one of the world’s most widely used digital platforms,”
said Benjamin Tan, Head of ShopeePay, Singapore.
Users can add ShopeePay under Google Play payment methods, tap “Link Service” and enter their ShopeePay PIN to complete the setup.
ShopeePay is also offering S$5 off a user’s first Google Play purchase made with ShopeePay or SPayLater.
There is no minimum spend and the promotion runs until 31 August 2026.
