As we approach the official launch timeframe of the Magic 9 series, Honor began the trial production of a 12000mAh battery, targeting the mobile gaming experience. And it seems the cell capacity will show up with the WIN 2 series later this year.

Honor is expected to launch the WIN 2 series by the end of 2026, following last year’s time window, with a flagship 2nm chipset and probably a 12000mAh battery pack.

This suggests that the upcoming Honor WIN 2 mobile phones will bring a significant boost in gaming performance with a power-packed 12000mAh battery capacity.

While the first-generation WIN models debuted with a 10000mAh battery pack, the company could seed a 12000mAh cell to the second-gen handsets, marking a prominent upgrade.

A larger battery is capable of extending a phone’s gaming life directly by storing more electrical energy. This additional energy strengthens power-lacking parts of the device such as the chipset, GPU, and screen during heavy play sessions.

It’s not surprising news when we talk about Honor’s battery phones. The OEM has achieved milestones in seeding the largest cell packs to its products – from phones to tablets, and even folding handsets.

The WIN 2 series won’t be an exception to this theory. Besides, a 2nm chip + a 12000mAh battery can contribute to the flagship’s overall performance to a greater extent.

Battery capacity only tells a small part of the story, though. There are many variables at play when it comes to the gaming experience of a smartphone. Hence, we’ll have to wait for the WIN 2 series official announcement to get clear info on its specifications.
