We’ve already seen One UI 9.5 introduce new features such as App Lock and App Mirroring. However, Samsung is also spending time polishing the apps we use every day. The latest example is the Camera app, which is seemingly getting a cleaner and more refined interface with One UI 9.5.
Samsung is polishing the Camera app in One UI 9.5
Fahad Ali Javed shared new screenshots on X from the CZH9 internal One UI 9.5 build running on the Galaxy S26, revealing several small but noticeable changes to the Camera UI. The biggest difference lies in how Samsung handles pop-up menus throughout the Camera app.
Containers now have more rounded corners, improved padding, and better spacing between controls. Samsung also appears to be using a softer background tint and blur effect. This helps menus stand out from the camera preview without completely hiding what is behind them.
Samsung has also adjusted the icons inside these menus. They now have more consistent scaling and stroke thickness. As a result, the whole interface feels more balanced. You can see the new treatment in several places. For example, it’s visible in the resolution selector for 50MP, 24MP, and 12MP. It also appears in the quick camera controls inside Pro Photo, the Super Steady Mode selector, and the More modes menu.

A welcome change, even though it’s not a major redesign
While this isn’t a major redesign, it’s nice to see small refinements that add up to the user experience. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Samsung’s Camera app already worked well. With this update, One UI 9.5 seems focused on making it look just as polished and refined. Of course, this is still an internal build. Samsung could continue tweaking the blur, spacing, icons, and other elements before One UI 9.5 reaches users.
