Huawei Pura 100 series might get a very unorthodox camera look next year. A new rumor indicates that the next-gen imaging flagship could ditch the signature triangular design it has been using for the past three years in favor of a square form factor.
Pura 100 series is rumored to deviate in many ways from the previous Huawei Pura models – including the camera look. The top-tier lineup is now said to adopt a square imaging setup on both the front and back sides.
Until now, we’ve expected the 2027 Pura series to continue the triangular rear camera layout and cutting-edge sensors. Inputs also implied that the high-end variants could use dual 200MP lenses, setting a new standard for photography.
A new leak circulating online, though, hints that the Huawei Pura 100 series could undergo significant changes in appearance. It may use a square selfie lens and a square imaging module on the rear panel, changing its design definition.
Things are good up till the front-facing camera. Many phone brands, including Huawei and Honor, are testing iPhone 17-like 1:1 selfie sensors to enhance the self-captured shot experience for users.

Some early leaks also noted that brands are planning to remove the massive circular camera frames on the back and go for a square bump, giving a new makeover to devices. But whether the plan will be executed with Pura 100 phones is a mystery for now.
Pura 100 Camera Look – Fact or Fake?
It’s very possible that the leak has got things wrong. Huawei has been sticking to the triangular camera design for the Pura phones since the flagship came into existence.
However, if the leak proves true, it would be a big departure from the long-running and unique camera bump design in the smartphone industry.
