Alligator sightings and attacks are on the rise in Florida this summer, with experts urging residents and visitors to stay vigilant.
Chad Weber, with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), joined WESH 2 following a series of alligator attacks, including one fatal incident.
Weber explained what people should do if they spot an alligator near their home or in their neighborhood.
He advised contacting the FWC at 888-404-3922 or by contacting the agency’s toll-free Nuisance Alligator Hotline at 866-392-4286.
