A credible Weibo tipster has brought more details on the Huawei Mate 90 RS Ultimate Design’s specifications, including display and battery capacity. The leak says that the top-tier model is about to enter the mass production phase with improved specs.

DigitalChatStation has revealed display and battery details of the Huawei Mate 90 RS phone ahead of the speculated September launch. These inputs backed earlier reports that hinted at bigger cell packs and almost the same screen parameters.

The tipster started the leak by mentioning that the display and battery specs are largely unchanged across the engineering units inching towards mass production.

Huawei Mate 90 RS will probably stick to the same 6.9-inch LTPO OLED flat screen with a 1.5K resolution. It will continue to use the tandem (dual-layer) OLED technology and be the first phone in the industry with BT.2020 color gamut.

The company is preparing the Tau Law + LogicFolding-based Kirin 2026 chip for the new-gen Mate smartphones. In a recently released page version, the OEM itself revealed how the upcoming mobile processors are better than the Kirin 9030 series.

Unlike the display segment, the Mate 90 RS Ultimate will likely see prominent upgrades in the battery. Huawei is expected to use a 7000mAh cell pack for 2026 Mate phones. But whether it will remain enclosed in the high-end models or will debut as a standard is a dilemma for the moment.

Mate 90 series is ready to enter mass production, as per the latest leak. Thus, we might witness the flagship on the launch stage by late next month.
