Fintech platform CRED has launched Circle by CRED, a new app that allows its members to have one-on-one conversations with experienced professionals, founders and specialists across careers, money, wellness and relationships.

The service is currently in beta for select CRED members, with more than 100 Residents across these categories. Members can connect with Residents through text, audio or video between 6 PM and 10 PM, seven days a week. Pricing starts at Rs 25 per minute.

In simple terms, Circle is a paid advice platform where CRED members can speak directly with people who have relevant experience in a particular area. A founder, for instance, can speak with an experienced founder about leadership hiring or fundraising. A product leader can seek advice on a career transition, while a relationship specialist can help a member with their dating profile.

CRED said Residents are selected based on their relevance, credentials and experience. Members can have a one-time conversation or return to the same Resident for more complex discussions.

The platform is built on CRED’s 1.7 crore-member community. CRED describes this base as a group of affluent Indians with experience across different fields.

Miten Sampat, interim CEO at CRED, said, “Information and intelligence are abundant now, but judgement and taste are still developed through experience. For our affluent members, the collective experience of qualified peers is now a conversation away, with a high-signal network on Circle by CRED to enable their progress.”

Circle will expand into more categories over time. Select CRED members can access the beta, while other CRED members can download the app on iOS or Android and join the waitlist. Members can also apply to become Residents.

The company said the long-term aim is to build a network where members can access the collective experience of the community.
