Donations pouring in to help Death Vomit, Deadsquad and JASAD

Thousands have been raised to support three “extreme metal” bands after they were stranded in Ireland following a big disruption to their European tour.
The sixteen band members and crew of Indonesian groups Deadsquad, JASAD, and Death Vomit have been kindly put up in the home of Irish woman Alisa Dempsey. It came after the three groups started their ‘Cataclysmic Tour’ in Europe together last Saturday with a gig at Lost Lane in Dublin. After a smash-hit first night however – they were forced to cancel shows in Cork city and London when their accommodation, venue arrangements and travel plans fell suddenly fell through.
Despite the major disruption, which disappointed hundreds of fans in Cork and in England, they were determined not to throw in the towel. Their next booking is tomorrow in Eindhoven, Netherlands, and the groups banded together and paid out of pocket to book last-minute flights there in time.
After hearing about their struggles, Alisa’s heart went out to them and she decided to set up a GoFundMe to support them with the costs of getting themselves and all their gear to the next gig.
She shared on her campaign: “When Deadsquad, Jasad, and Death Vomit found themselves stranded here in Ireland, I opened my home to host all 16 of them – band members and crew – while they figured out next steps.
“Having seen firsthand what they’ve been through, I’m now organising this fundraiser on their behalf to help them get back on the road… Despite the setback, the three bands are determined to finish what they started. They’re set to resume the European Tour on August 20 in Eindhoven, Netherlands, this time working with DF Bookings, a trusted promoter in the extreme music scene.”
Alisa launched her campaign just two days ago – and it quickly went viral online. To date, it has already brought in over €5,500 from donations across Ireland and abroad. In a new update, she confirmed the bands are set to fly out to the Netherlands today, adding that all the support “means more than words can say to Deadsquad, Jasad, and Death Vomit right now.”
Speaking to Cork Beo, a spokesperson for JASAD said that they are “heartbroken” that they could not make it to their Cork gig – but look forward to returning to Ireland again for another show when possible. They thanked all their fans for the support in recent days.
