Besides visual changes, MagicOS 11 will introduce a significant feature called Storage Space Optimization 2.0 to Honor devices. The capability will expand the internal space of the device so you can store your favorite photos and files more efficiently.

Honor has released the MagicOS 11 testing version for its eligible devices, giving beta testers a clue at what the new software iteration will bring to the table, one of which is the Storage Space Optimization Technology 2.0.

Xiao Fangge, Honor’s product maintenance and upgrade expert, mentioned that the MagicOS 10 upgrade opened up more than 50GB of storage space for Honor devices last year. This time, the company promises to deliver even better results!

The chief said that the Honor MagicOS 11 is bringing the second-gen storage optimization feature. It has shown great outcomes during internal tests and will help everyone increase their available space and extend the lifespan of their older models.

Fluctuations in memory chip prices significantly impact the price of new phones. But something even more concerning is the condition of the older devices that are stuck with the same storage specs but seeing a price hike due to the ongoing crisis.

Hence, Honor has come up with a new solution on its part – Storage Optimization Technology 2.0. How exactly the feature will work and what it’ll offer to users is unclear for now. But it gave a short hint of what it can do to enhance the experience.

Xiao Fangge stated:

“To extend the lifespan of older phones, Honor MagicOS 11 introduces Storage Space Optimization Technology 2.0, which increases available storage space. Users can also save space by going to App Store > My Honor > App Cleanup to clean up infrequently used apps.”
