A man in his 30’s has died following a collision involving a car and a motorbike near the Kerry/Cork border yesterday.
A motorcyclist, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The collision happened on the Caha Pass on the N71 Ring of Beara road.
A section of road near Bonane between Kenmare and Glengarriff closed for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, but it has since reopened.
The man’s body was removed to the mortuary at Cork University Hospital following the collision where a post mortem examination is due to take place.
Road users who were travelling on the N71 between Glengarriff and Kenmare at Caha Pass, Co. Cork,yesterday afternoon between 2.15pm and 2.45pm and who may have camera footage including dash-cam are asked to make it available to investigating Gardaí.
