Pest control remains ongoing at a Tralee IPAS centre from which over 60 residents were moved earlier this month.

Over 60 people, including families with young children, were moved from the Johnston Marina IPAS centre in Tralee on 10th August due to the pest issue.

Residents told Radio Kerry that they were being moved to Connemara in Galway and Youghal in Cork.

The Department of Justice has told Radio Kerry essential maintenance related to the pest control issue at the centre remains ongoing.

It says IPAS remains in regular communication with residents who have been affected by the unexpected move.
