Lock screen widgets have become one of the most demanded features in the smartphone industry, and Honor MagicOS has ranked first in delivering the best experience of this capability. Here is a new report shedding light on this topic.

Honor launched the lock screen widgets in April this year with MagicOS 10. It gradually expanded the feature’s reach to more devices, offering a dynamic experience.

The latest details on this matter suggest that MagicOS offers a total of 60 lock screen widgets, covering 55 usage scenarios. It not only integrates the system app-based widgets but also includes third-party applications and services into them.

For instance, the top third-party lock screen widgets on MagicOS are AliPay, Baidu, Kugou Concept Edition, Tomato ToDo, and Shanbay English Words.

All these widgets allow users to easily access many lifestyle services with a convenient experience and quickly access many features with just one click.

Honor is now working to launch lock screen widgets from more third-party services. The latest report further highlights the plans for this useful feature:

“Honor has opened the Developer Service Platform to the public, providing access capabilities to a wide range of developers, working together to build a prosperous and complete MagicOS lock screen widget ecosystem.”

From a user’s perspective, MagicOS lock screen widgets are the best example of “receptive product iteration” in the industry. The feature not only prioritizes real user needs but also improves the overall lock screen ecosystem experience.

The company is now developing the MagicOS 11.0 software iteration. It would be interesting to see what changes the upcoming Android 17-based version brings to the table.
