Naomi Watts’s daughter Kai Schreiber looked ready to close out summer as she ditched her signature bright blonde hair to debut a fall-coded hair transformation on August 20. The 17-year-old—who’s the youngest child of Watts and ex-partner Liev Schreiber—showed off her darkest hair color yet while coordinating with her mom during a rare joint appearance in East Hampton.

Kai has experimented within the blonde color wheel, but she embraced the opposite side of the spectrum with a new chocolate brown hair color. As the aspiring model and her actress mom mingled with fellow fashion royalty at the Michael Kors 45th anniversary collection dinner, Kai embraced the classic LBD in a sleeveless black column dress that went down to her ankles.

Styling her newly brunette hair in a sleek ponytail with face-framing layers, the runway star embraced a monochromatic look with a pair of black patent leather sandal heels. A silver pendant necklace added some subtle shine to Kai’s ’90s-inspired look.

Kai posed for photos next to fellow nepo baby Sailor Brinkley-Cook and her mom Christie Brinkley, who shares the 28-year-old model with ex-husband Peter Cook. In images captured at the Swifty’s venue, the mother-daughter duo could be seen twinning in similar draped red gowns as they mingled with Kai and Watts at the event.
Meanwhile, Watts—who also shares son Sasha, 19, with Shreiber—also put her own twist on mini-me dressing while out with her lookalike daughter. The Mulholland Drive actress made an edgy style statement in a pair of slouchy black leather trousers, which she wore with a draped white asymmetrical sleeveless top. The boatneck blouse, which covered one of Watts’s shoulders while leaving the other bare, also showed off a glimpse of a gold collar-style necklace. The star wore her platinum blonde hair in a side-parted bob, and finished off her look with a swipe of bright red lipstick and a pair of textured pointed-toe stilettos.
