A handgun is believed to have been used during an armed robbery in Co Armagh.
An employee has been left shaken after the incident, which took place at a filling station bureau de change in the Monaghan Road area of Middletown.
It was reported to police at around 1pm, that a man, with a ‘small handgun’, demanded money from the employee and took a quantity of cash before leaving.
Officers are appealing for witnesses.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “We received a report at around 1pm of an ongoing armed robbery at a filling station bureau de change in the Monaghan Road area.
“Officers attended the scene and spoke to the employee, who was unharmed, though obviously shaken by the ordeal.
“It was reported that a man with a hood up and his face covered had entered the premises shortly beforehand, armed with what we believe to have been a small handgun.
“He demanded money from the employee and subsequently took a quantity of cash before making off in a blue Volkswagen Passat.”
