Huawei Pura X View launched as the first wide, flat-screen smartphone, and its sale date is now in sight. One of the company’s officials has revealed today when the flagship with a new form factor will become available for purchase.

He Gang – the CEO of Huawei Consumer Business, today shed light on the sale date of the Pura X View. The wide-flat screen is open for pre-order and will enter its first sale on September 7.

The company has just confirmed the Mate XT 2 debut for September 7. In addition to the triple foldable, it will introduce many products on the stage.

One such will be the Huawei Pura X View, which debuted last week and can be available for purchase early next month. He Gang says the company will release the new smartphone alongside the Mate XT 2 and may immediately open it for sale.

Pura X View has entered the smartphone industry as the first wide-screen candybar smartphone. The company already has a broad-display device – the Pura X Max in the folding format. However, it has picked a different form factor this time.

Huawei Pura X View is the first to equip a 16:9.5 wide-screen in the industry with the highest screen-to-body ratio of 96.1%. It features a 1.05mm equal-sided bezel surrounding the 6.39-inch display with an area reaching 114.27 cm².

While unveiling the new device, the company has only mentioned certain key specs, including the display, a massive 7000mAh battery, and HarmonyOS 7 software version.

The device is currently open for pre-orders in three storage variants and four premium color schemes at the VMall store. It comes with a 6.68mm slim design profile, weighs 201 grams, as well as has storage options up to 1TB. You can check how the new flagship differs from Apple’s top-end model below:
