Radio Kerry has received 12 nominations for this year’s IMRO Radio Awards.
The awards mark the very best in Irish radio broadcasting, recognising those who have made contributions over the past year.

Radio Kerry has received 12 nominations in this year’s IMRO Radio Awards, the shortlist for which was released today.
In the Magazine Programme category, Kaya Flynn’s Travels Through a Kingdom: Forever 19, and Joe McGill’s The Saturday Supplement: Courage have been nominated.
Radio Kerry News has been nominated in the News Story category for coverage of the Kerry CAMHS Scandal with “It started with a phone call”.
Weekend Sports is up for an award in the Sports Programme Local / Regional category, and Tim Moynihan is in the running for the Sports Broadcaster of the Year Local / Regional award.
In the Specialist Music Broadcaster, JJ O Shea has been nominated.
Radio Kerry’s coverage of Jessie Buckley’s historic Oscar win has been shortlisted in the digital and social innovation award for #proudofjessie, and in the on-air competition/promotion category for “Good Luck Jessie”.
Niamh Daly has been nominated in the IMRO Irish music programme/initiative for New Moves; she is also shortlisted in the community social action category, for Many Voices, One Kingdom.
“Words Matter” by the students of the Radio Kerry / Kerry College Digital Journalism, Podcasting & Radio course, run by Connie Broderick and Joe McGill, is up for the Short Feature Award.
“Ours to protect – Protecting the Ringed Plover” is in the running in the Sustainability category.
Meanwhile, Radio Kerry presenter Katie Jane Cronin has also been nominated for Music and Entertainment presenter of the year.
The winners will be announced at the IMRO Radio Awards 2026, taking place at the Lyrath Estate Hotel, Kilkenny, on Friday, 2 October.
