The executive chair of the Rose of Tralee International Festival says he’s very happy with the arrangement to host the televised shows in the MTU.
The two televised shows, in which 32 Roses take to the stage, come live the Kerry Sports Academy at Munster Technological University in recent years.
Those shows were previously televised from the specially-constructed Dome in the Fels Point site, near the Rose Hotel.
Kerry County Council is currently inviting expressions of interest for two sites which are located on the Dan Spring Road in Tralee.
These are zoned for tourism and related purposes, as well as for mixed use/opportunity.
When asked about a permanent home for the festival, executive chair Anthony O’Gara says their arrangement with the MTU is working very well:
