Coronation Street’s Todd Grimshaw faces another downward spiral next week as he struggles with the news of Celeste Butterfield’s death.
Todd has struck up a firm friendship with Celeste after she enlisted Shuttleworth’s to help plan her funeral, but their connection comes to an end earlier than he expects.

Next week’s episodes see Todd fall out with Celeste during a visit to her hotel room. He later heads back to make amends, but Ryan Connor breaks the sad news that Celeste has already passed away.
The loss of his pal is yet another blow to Todd, who is already at a low ebb after a traumatic year of torment.
Having turned to booze to try and numb the pain of what he endured with Theo Silverton, Todd is spiralling.
When George Shuttleworth hears that Celeste has slipped away, he thinks he should be the one to inform Todd.

However, Todd finds out from Ryan before George can reach him, and he’s soon back on the booze once again.
Is Todd putting himself in danger as he goes even more off the rails? Or could he start to get back on track with the support of his loved ones?
“Todd has made it clear that he’s putting himself first from now on,” our source reminds us. “He wants to take a more ruthless approach to life, so is pushing most of his closest supporters away.
“It’s a self-destructive move, but one that’s born from the trauma he experienced in his abusive relationship with Theo.”

Our spy continues: “As Todd processes the sad news about Celeste, he carries out her last wishes by hosting a memorial gathering in her honour.
“George and Christina are among those who show up to support Todd – and there’s a heartfelt hug between Todd and George!
“Is this just a brief pause in hostilities, or the start of a positive turning point for Todd?”
