Emergency services rushed to the scene

A woman has been rushed to hospital following a two-vehicle collision in Co. Cork this afternoon.
Gardaí and emergency services rushed to the scene of the crash on the N22 at Direenauling, Ballyvourney – close to the Cork-Kerry border – at approximately 2.30pm. The collision involved a car and a van, and caused traffic delays in the area for around two hours.
Gardaí have confirmed a woman, 30s, suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the incident and was rushed to University Hospital Kerry for treatment.
The incident has now been cleared and traffic is moving freely in the area.
A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a road traffic collision involving a car and a van at N22, Direenauling, Ballyvourney, Co. Cork at approximately 2:30pm Thursday 27 August 2026.
“A woman( aged in her 30s) was conveyed to University Hospital Kerry for treatment of non-life threatening injury.”
