Today show weather presenter Tim Davies has announced he’s leaving the program after more than seven years.
He’s delivered the forecast from more than 900 locations since he joined the team in 2019, but now he’s looking for his next adventure.
Tim announced the news on Friday morning and said it would be hard to give up the “best job in TV”.

“Working alongside the best broadcasters, travelling to new destinations daily and showcasing incredible Aussies is a privilege,” he said in a statement.
“Not all journos get to deliver good news, good vibes and a smile with each story, so having achieved all that and so much more – this seems like the right time to step back, enjoy a sleep in, take a break without a camera crew and prepare for my next adventure.”
His final weather broadcast will be on September 18, and Nine said no decisions had been made about his replacement.
Tim’s been at the network for 12 years and was given the Today show gig while he was in the Sydney news bureau.

Newsreader Jayne Azzopardi held back tears as she expressed how much she was going to miss him.
“I’ve been in denial since you told me this,” she said to him.
“It’s been an absolute pleasure working with you on this show.
“You’re special to me because you’re real, and that’s why our viewers love you.
“And that is why we all love you. It’s really appropriate that you’re the weather guy, because you bring sunshine everywhere you go.”
Tim would regularly be sent to far-flung places across Australia and the world to showcase some of the fun and exciting things to do there.
He’s skydived, bungee jumped, abseiled, swum with sharks and crocodiles, raced performance vehicles, and performed acrobatics all live on air, while also championing “local heroes” and sharing good news stories, often during bleak times.
Nine’s Director of Morning Television, Steven Burling, admitted Tim leaves “enormous” shoes to fill for the next weather presenter.
“During his time, he’s given a platform to small towns and communities, showcasing their people and causes to a national audience, and that will leave a lasting impact,” he said.
“We are fully supportive of Tim laying down some roots after seven years of living out of a suitcase.
“I’d like to thank Tim for all he’s contributed to the show. I know the team and the audience will greatly miss him.”
The departure leaves yet another slot to be filled on the Today show, as Sarah Abo is currently on maternity leave, Karl Stefanovic left in June, and Danika Mason is set to have a baby at the end of the year.
