A musical at Dublin’s Bord Gáis Energy Theatre had to be cancelled part-way through a performance on Friday night.
Mean Girls was stopped about 40 to 50 minutes after the start of the show following after a power outage, a spokesman for the theatre confirmed. The musical could not continue after.
He said details regarding refunds for those in attendance would be made through a “public announcement”.
The performance on Friday began at 7.30pm. The power cut happened before the interval.
The Irish Times understands those in attendance moved from the theatre to the lobby area following the power cut. Announcements were made to evacuate the building and the audience was ushered out the building.

Mean Girls, which has a run time of two-and-a-half-hours, is at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre until September 5th.
