Katseye, which started out as a six-member girl group, is down to four girls at the moment, after Manon Bannerman and Sophia Laforteza both took leaves of absence this year. Just a week ago, the group had to cancel their Daisy Chain Fields performance when a third member, Megan Skiendiel, sustained an injury during rehearsals. Well, if they are in need of any advice, girl-group veteran Kelly Rowland has some wisdom she’d like to share. For one thing, “Your health is one of the most sacred things you have.”

In a Rolling Stone interview, Rowland shared one important thing she learned as a member of Destiny’s Child. “You can show up for your fans and your group while still honoring what you need as an individual.” She continued, “My advice to the Katseye girls would be to listen to themselves, be kind to themselves, and continue supporting one another through every season.” Rowland stressed that it’s especially important while on tour (Katseye’s Wildworld tour officially kicked off on Thursday) “to intentionally carve out time to rest and reset in their daily routines. Taking care of your mind and body is what allows you to bounce back, stay resilient, and keep doing what you love.” She would know.
