Donegal League legend answers club call at 59!

Kerrykeel 71 FC legend has once again demonstrated his commitment to the cause! 

James Martin, who served the club with distinction over the years, once again took to field at the ripe old age of 59!

Martin played the full 90 minutes in Kerrykeel’s 3-0 defeat to Whitestrand FC in the Brian McCormick Cup on Sunday.

The club was missing several players due to a combination of GAA, holidays and work.

However, club legend James Martin answered the call just like he has done time after time over the years.

James Martin is the definition of what a club legend looks like.

Kerrykeel 71 gained promotion to the top-flight of the Donegal Junior League last season, and kick-off the league season in the next few weeks.

James Martin will be hoping numbers have improved, but if they haven’t, I’m sure he’ll answer the call again.
