A man has ben arrested following a security alert in Co Armagh on Saturday.
Officers attended a property in the Carrive Road area of Silverbridge shortly after 8.45am and discovered a suspicious device.
The area was closed to road users and members of the public, with a number of diversions put in place.
Ammunition technical officers attended the scene, and carried out a controlled explosion on the device, which was deemed to be viable.
“One man aged in his 20s has been arrested in relation to the incident, and remains in police custody, assisting with enquiries,” a police spokesperson said.
“Road closures in the area have now been lifted.
“Enquiries are ongoing, and we would appeal to anyone who might have any information which could assist to contact officers via 101, and quote reference number 339 of 05/09/26.”
