A driver fled the scene of another hit-and-run crash in east Donegal at the weekend.
Gardaí confirmed they received a report of a two-car collision on the N15 at Castlefin which occurred at approximately 7:20pm on Friday.
“The driver of one of the cars failed to remain at the scene. No injuries reported at the time,” a spokesperson for the Garda Press Office said.
Donegal Daily understands the injured party was stopped at traffic lights at the time when his car was struck.
It was the second such incident reported in the east of the county on Friday night.
Shortly after 8pm, a man driving a black BMW struck a jeep parked outside Finn Park before also fleeing the scene.
The damage caused to the parked vehicle was such that it had to be towed away from the scene by a recovery vehicle.
However, the driver of the BMW later contacted local Gardaí to report that he was involved in the collision.
