A man has been charged in connection with assaulting police officers and driving-related offences in Strabane on Friday evening.
The 29-year-old is to appear in court facing charges of resisting police, criminal damage and two counts of assault on police in the Melmount Road area of the town.
He has also been further charged with a number of driving-related offences, including dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, driving when unfit through drink or drugs and three counts of failing to remain where an accident occurred causing injury.
The man is expected to appear before Enniskillen Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
As is usual procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
