Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash have announced a major life change this week, leaving their fans shocked. The couple shared that they’re moving out of their family home, Pickle Cottage, where they have lived for the last five years.

In an joint Instagram video, the pair were overcome with emotion as they explained the reason for the “massive decision”. Stacey said that she “never, ever thought” they would leave the cottage, but were moving out “imminently”.

“The reason that we haven’t said anything up until this point is because anyone who’s ever moved before knows what it’s like. You don’t know if it’s gonna happen until it actually happens,” she continued.

“Leaving Pickle Cottage was a massive, massive decision for us. So we had a lot of people we needed to speak to, we needed to get the kids around to the idea and we needed to speak to all of our neighbours, our lovely friends in the area.”

The star said that “even the thought” of selling Pickle Cottage “felt like it would be impossible”, before adding that they waited for someone “amazing” to come along and fall in love with it.

Joe highlighted the significance of their home, sharing they look at it as if “it’s got its own life”. The pair reiterated that it is still their “dream house”, and that they will always love the “special” memories it holds.

The couple then noted that they want to rescue more animals and grow more vegetables, hence the need for a bigger property. They shared that they “fell in love” with the new house, where they hope to see their family grow and flourish.

Stacey reflected on the renovations they made to Pickle Cottage, after buying it in 2021. She expressed her excitement about being able to do it again in the new property, as they begin their “next chapter”.

The comment section was flooded with supportive comments from surprised fans, who have been following the family’s journey online, with Joe writing: “There’s no one in this world. I would rather go on this adventure with love you to the moon and back.”
