Bill Nighy’s new Ireland-set drama 500 Miles is available to watch at home now following a cinema release in June. The film follows two boys who decide their fractured life in England behind to travel to their grandfather’s place on the west coast of Ireland.
The film is available to purchase or rent on digital outlets like Prime Video and Apple TV now. It’s currently £9.99 to purchase on both platforms, £4.99 to rent on Prime Video, and £5.49 to rent on Apple TV.
Alongside Nighy, the film stars Jojo Rabbit’s Roman Griffin Davis, A Knight of the Seven Kingdom’s Dexter Sol Ansell, Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams, The Last Duel’s Clare Dunne, and What It Feels Like for a Girl’s Michael Socha.

Film Ireland called 500 Miles “a powerful and memorable film”, writing: “The story unfolds at an engaging pace, expertly edited with just the right number of flashbacks.”
The publication also praised the “powerful” performance of Griffin Davis and stated that Sol Ansell “shines”, while Nighy gave an “outstanding” performance.
Empire echoed those comments, praising the “knockout” performances of its two young leads, calling them “terrific” and “delightful”, respectfully.
“It’s hard not to be moved by it, thanks to the wonderful work of its two leads,” the review reads.

Last month, Nighy opened up in an exclusive interview with Digital Spy that he “never really believed” in himself.
“I have struggled to believe in myself as an actor at all in the first place, only in the usual common regard, in the way of run-of-the-mill self doubt, but it’s there always,” he said.
