28 Years Later is proving to be a somewhat divisive movie. While it’s hard to argue against the movie having plenty of artistic merit, not everybody loved the direction of the film.

I’m not one of those people. 28 Years Later might be my favorite film of the year so far. If you’re like me and have been desperate to revisit the modern horror classic, you’re not going to have to wait long.

28 Years Later is set to start streaming on Netflix starting on Saturday. Netflix currently owns the streaming rights to Sony Pictures films, so we know the film was eventually going to be on the streaming giant.

With 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple out in January, now would be a great time to catch up on the franchise, as 28 Days Later will also be on Netflix.

Director Danny Boyle has expressed interest in doing a third 28 Years Later film, but can only get it greenlit if the first film and The Bone Temple do well. 28 Years Later did solid numbers at the box office, and will hopefully drive a lot of viewership on Netflix.

If that happens and The Bone Temple is at least a modest success, there will be a good chance that Boyle gets to finish the trilogy.
