A renowned Wexford artist was honoured to create a one of a kind sculpture for President Michael D Higgins, which was presented to him at the opening of Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2025 in Wexford.
Larry Harney who hails from Kilmuckridge, Co Wexford. was commissioned by Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann to create two separate pieces, one for the President, and another as a perpetual trophy/emblem for the Fleadh, made from wood over 4,800 years old
