EXCLUSIVE: Late Night With the Devil actress Laura Gordon will continue to find more scares in Blumhouse and Sony/Screen Gems/Stage 6 Films’ Insidious 6.

She joins a booming previously announced cast that’s over on the Australian set under the direction of Jacob Chase including Amelie Eve, Brandon Perea, Lin Shaye, Misie Richardson-Sellers, Sam Spruell and Island Austin. Mark your calendars for the sixthquel’s theatrical release on Aug. 21, 2026.

Chase as we told you before co-wrote the movie with David Leslie Johnson. The logline is under wraps. The film is produced by Jason Blum, Oren Peli, James Wan, and Leigh Whannell, with executive producers Ryan Turek, Steven Schneider, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, and Johnson.

The previous Insidious: The Red Door in 2023 became the horror series’ highest-grossing title with just under $200M worldwide. Since the franchise’s debut at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2010, Insidious has become one of the most enduring and successful horror series of all time, grossing more than $740 million worldwide. This year’s TIFF marks 15 years since the original film’s premiere.

Gordon recently wrapped Amazon MGM Studios’ feature Voltron opposite Henry Cavill, Rita Ora, Sterling K. Brown, and Alba Baptista, and will next appear in the Stan Original Series Watching You. She starred in MGM+/Stan’s Hotel Cocaine with Danny Pino and Michael Chiklis and in Cameron and Colin Cairnes’ horror film Late Night with the Devil opposite David Dastmalchian. The movie made its world premiere at the 2023 SXSW, and was named one of the best horror films of 2024. Gordon also earned a Best Lead Actress nomination at the 2025 AACTA Awards.

Other feature credits include The Claremont Murders, Tribeca-premiering short Hafekasi, and Miranda Nation’s Undertow, which also brought her an AACTA Best Lead Actress nomination. Other film work includes Streamline, Joe Cinque’s Consolation, Come Back to Me, Em 4 Jay, Face to Face, Embedded, Tom White, Apricot, and Problem Play.

On television, Laura has appeared in Halifax: Retribution, Reckoning, Secret City, Reef Break, Harrow, Hunters, Hoges, Winners & Losers, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, Rizzoli & Isles, Major Crimes, Underbelly, Blue Heelers, and Legend of the Seeker, among others.

Also a producer, she executive-produced Amiel Courtin-Wilson’s Hail (Venice Film Festival), Noora Niasari’s TÂM, and Nick Barkla’s award-winning documentary The Healing. A founding ensemble member of Red Stitch Actors Theatre, she has appeared in multiple productions for the Melbourne Theatre Company.

Gordon is represented by RGM Artists and Mosaic.
